Principal of Self Lubrication
During the performance of the components,
when the shaft commences rotation, there is
an increase in temperature of the bush and the shaft.
As per capillary action, due to this rise in temperature, the oil
impregnated in the bush forms a thin layer of oil film between the
shaft
and component. This thin layer of oil is sucked back in the porosity
once the
shaft is stopped and the system cools down. So this oil film gives excellent
lubrication
to
the system and increases life with no much requirement of assign additional oil.
